Jeff Nugent – Founder and Managing Director
Jeff is a thought leader within the contingent workforce management industry. With over 17 years of experience, Jeff has worked with countless top employers in developing and implementing CWM’s best practices and technology tools that enable clients to take a holistic approach to strategically managing their contract workforce as part of an organization’s overall talent pool. As the Founder and Managing Director of Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS), Jeff has lead the company to become one of North America’s top vendor neutral contract and temporary workforce consulting and business process management companies. CWS provides independent contractor administration and payrolling, vendor program management (MSP) and strategic consulting services. Prior to CWS, Jeff was a Vice President of Business Development & Strategic Solutions at one of Canada’s largest IT staffing firms and held progressive positions with companies such as UPS, Lexmark, Union Gas & Open Text. Jeff holds an Honours Bachelors of Business Administration & Organizational Behaviour from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. He is Human Capital Institute’s Expert Advisor on Contract Talent Management and sits on the board of various HR and staffing industry associations.
Ned Ismail – Vice President of Operations & International Expansion
Ned holds at B. Com from the University of Saskatchewan and an Executive MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. Ned has extensive international experience from working as a Trade Commissioner and Political Affairs Officer with the Department of Foreign affairs prior to being the Chief International Operations Officer for a US Defense Contractor and General Manager of a very large Real Estate Holding Co. in the Middle East. Ned has served on the Board of Directors of five companies, two of which were listed on the stock exchange and a regional Dubai-based nonprofit.
Andrew Edwards – Chief Financial Officer
Andrew is a Certified Management Accountant with over 6 years of accounting, financial analysis, and cash management experience. Prior to joining Contingent Workforce Solutions Andrew was a Senior Financial Analyst and Corporate Controller at Sears Canada where he was responsible for Third Party Recovery, Payroll and Inventory Control. During his distinguished career Andrew has also held progressive positions within Maple Leaf foods. Andrew is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo Ontario with an Honours degree in Economics and Accounting.
Christina Fabugais – VP of Marketing
Christina has over three years of Social Media and Corporate Marketing expertise. She is responsible for leading the commercialization of CWS and the development of its markets by driving home the benefits of centralized contract labour management. She also leads the execution of a marketing strategy through a combination of social media and traditional marketing campaigns. Prior to CWS, Christina worked with various companies to strategize and execute social media campaigns including: Fashion Magazine, Lavalife, and The Coast to Coast Foundation. Christina is a graduate of George Brown College and is a sought after social media guru, blogger and speaker.
Jamie Hastings – CHRP Candidate, Human Resources Manager
Jamie graduated from the Bachelors Business Administration Program at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario and has gained an array of Human Resources experience in a multitude of industries ever since. She has worked in retail at Staples Business Depot, Pepsi and GE, in the public sector at The Region of Waterloo, and currently in the staffing industry at Contingent Workforce Solutions. Over the years she has worked in recruitment and selection, employee relations, compensation, job design, learning and development, policy creation and with collective agreements. In her current role, she is focused on Contract and Payroll Administration, Health and Safety, Performance Review and Benefits Administration.
Nancy Quan – CHRP Candidate, Human Resources Manager
As the Resource Manager at Contingent Workforce Solutions, Nancy manages the end-to-end contractor management process, contract negotiations, building and maintaining client relationships and support to the Simplicity Vendor & Contractor Management software. A key aspect of her responsibilities is providing clients with contractor management expertise and ensuring contractor classification is compliant with applicable tax laws and employment legislation. With a perseverance to continuously gain knowledge and experience, Nancy also supports the Accounting & Finance operations with the payroll and compensation process. In addition, Nancy is an integral member and creator of the Joint Health and Safety Committee in driving the awareness and significance of a healthy and safe working environment in contractor management. Prior to CWS, Nancy worked for multiple industries including: Rogers Communications, SNC-Lavalin, University of Toronto and TD Canada Trust. Nancy graduated from the University of Toronto as a Human Resources Management Specialist, a member of the Human Resources Professional Association and is currently a CHRP candidate working towards her experience to complete her certification. If Nancy is not working, she can be found in continuing education classes, being a social butterfly, or volunteering her time for various not for profit organizations.
